Due to popular request, Spa for Pets is now hosting a teeth-cleaning clinic on the third Thursday of each month.  This is a non-anesthetic professional teeth-cleaning service for both cats and dogs.

The technique is kind and gentle.  The pet simply sits in the lap of the technician as they talk to and praise the animals to reassure them.  Most pets love the attention and enjoy seeing the tech.  There is never a charge if the technician is not able to clean your pet’s teeth for any reason.  There is nothing to lose, so give it a try.  Your pet will thank you for it.  They look and smell so much better after a cleaning.  No more bad breath!

Always have regular veterinary dental check-ups by your regular veterinarian.

Tartar and plaque build-up is very unhealthy for your pet.  All pets should have their teeth cleaned at least every six months.  Some pets that have not had their teeth cleaned for a long time may have damage to their gums such as pockets, recession, and periodontal disease.  Teeth left unbrushed accumulate plaque, which causes the periodontal gum disease, which is irreversible.  Your pet may lose these teeth at some point unless you regularly brush your pet’s teeth.

Maintenance Program

To provide the best possible care for your pets’ teeth, you may want to consider a maintenance program.  The maintenance program is a complete re-cleaning and polishing of the teeth every month or every two months.  This program is especially helpful for those who find it difficult to brush their pets’ teeth at home.  If you cannot brush your pets’ teeth on a regular basis you should seriously consider this affordable program.

Please call the Spa for Pets to book an appointment or for more information.
